Beautiful Wings Card for Journey Blog Hoppers - September Blog Hop

Welcome to the Amazing Journey Blog Hoppers Hop! This month’s theme is Beautiful Wings. I'm so happy you're hoppin' along! If you arrived here from  Lisa Kmiec's blog, you're on the right track. If not, that's ok too! Just continue the hop and you'll come full circle!

I just love the Beautiful Wings stamp set...it's gorgeous!  Here's how I made my card:

1. Stamp top layer of butterfly with Whip Cream Ink on Grape Fusion Cardstock.
2. Stamp Beautiful Wings Butterfly using Pool Party, Cosmic Grape and Black Licorice Inks on Whip Cream cardstock.
3. Fussy cut wings only.
4. Stamp top butterfly on Grape Fusion background in Black Licorice ink.
5. Pop up butterfly wings place over Black Licorice butterfly.

Thank you for stopping by today!  You've reached the end of the Beautiful Wing Blog Hop. If you missed any blogs along the way you can start at the beginning with Betsye Rose Cimino Erazo's blog.

Be Amazing!!!

Hi All!

I made this card using Fun Stampers Journey "Be Amazing" Collection.  I love, love, love the colors, stamps, papers, and embellishments...they are so cool!

To create the effect on the circle I started with an acetate sheet.  I added drops of the three Silks around the sheet.  Then I lightly sprayed the Silks with water.   After the Silks moved around a bit and blended on the acetate sheet, I placed the circle on top.  You can then move the cardstock around until you get the look you want.  After the circle dried, I stamped it and flicked the silks over the circle.  Other than the drying, it is a very quick technique will a wow effect!  You can speed up the drying by using a heat gun.

All items used in creating this card are from Fun Stampers Journey:
