CAS Clock Card...Guest Designer for Quirky Crafts Challenge: Clocks

Hi All!

I'm here again as Guest Designer for Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog!  Challenge #11 is It's About Quirky Time!  This challenge is all about time, so we want to see clocks somewhere on your project, or maybe an altered clock, you can use time sentiments but there must be clocks, egg timers~any sort of clocks!

This CAS Thank You card would be great for anyone who has helped out, you know, given their Time!

I printed the background, Clocks from the Cutting Cafe on kraft cardstock and mounted it on black.  The saying is printed using a free font...The Blue Cabin.   I attached a glass dome to a clock from The Cutting Cafe's, It's About That Time.   No distressing or inking the edges...very scary.

It's a quick card to make!  I have to start making more CAS cards.  Most cards take me well over an hour or two, to finally get them to the point I like them enough to say they are mine.

Visit Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog and check out their awesome Design Team!  Their projects are very Timely!

Remember to enter your project for Quirky Crafts Challenge #11 - Clocks
by midday on Saturday, June 7th- UK time or 6:00 am CDT.
You could win a prize from The Cutting Cafe!

The prizes are:
1st place - 3 sets of choice
2nd place - 2 sets of choice
3rd place - 1 set of choice

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #8. "C" is for Crap!

Hello all and welcome to the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #8 - "C" is for Crap!  Crap, you know, those things you bought with good intentions to use, but never did.  Or the fantastic items you bought years ago which are now woefully out-of-date.  These are the perfect items to use for our challenge!

I bought Micro Beads years ago to embellish my cards and not just one bag, but quite a few.  I was going to create awesomeness...that is if I had ever used them!

To use the Micro Beads I put wide Scor Tape on a piece of cardboard and ran it through my Cuttlebug using Tim Holtz's Caged Bird Die.  I peeled off the covering, poured the beads over it, and pressed to secure them on the tape.  The Core'dination cardstock background was dry embossed, sanded, and distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  The bird was die cut, sanded, and colored with Mustard Seed Distress Ink.  The crown and missing you sentiment stamps are from Tim Holtz.

Dig into your supplies, find something you wonder "Why the heck did I buy this crap", and create.  We'd love to see what you come up with.  You have until Friday, May 30th, at 11:55 pm EDT to enter at SoSS for the coveted title of Queen of Snark!  You know you want to win it!

Quiry Crafts Guest Designer -Springy Spring Sheep

Hi All!

This is my second post as Guest Designer for Quirky Crafts and a reminder to enter the Quirky Crafts Challenge #9 - Something beginning with S!  You have until midday on Saturday, May 9th - UK time or 6:00 am CDT.

I just love the Springy Sheep image from Bugaboo's Scene it - Happy Spring to Ewe.  I printed the Springy Sheep image on X-Press paper and colored them with Copics.  The flowers, bumblebee and butterfly where highlighted with a Clear Glitter Spica pen.  It's difficult to photograph the cool Shimmer effect! The patterned paper is Daphane's Closet - Petite from Lawn Fawn.   I added a ribbon and a frog eyelet from Eyelet Outlet since frogs are very Springy in Spring.  The creek near my house is full of Springy Spring Frogs who are Serenading me every night.  I love it!  The Springy Sheep are enjoying, or at least I think so, their Springtime fun.  I hope you are enjoying your Spring!

Remember to enter your project for Quirky Crafts Challenge #9 - Something beginning with S by midday on Saturday, May 9th - UK time or 6:00 am CDT.

The prizes you could win are:
1st Prize - 7 images from Bugaboo

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #7, "Y" is for Your Mama

Hi All!

Welcome to Challenge #7 at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!  It's "Y" is for Your Mama-Make a Mother's Day card.

I made two cards for the "Y" is for Your Mama Challenge.  The first is snarky using the Glass of Wine a Day image from Bugaboo and patterned paper from Daphane's Closet Petite from Lawn Fawn.  The free font for the saying is Fontdinerdotcom Loungy.  I printed the image on X-Press paper and colored it with Copics.

This card is my non-snarky card.  The woman stamp from Viva Las Vegas Stamps!  I don't know the name of it.  The cardstock is from Club Scrap, the bling from Prima, and the saying was printed using the free font Summertime.  I stamped the woman on X-Press paper, colored her with Copics, and fussy cut. The tissue tape is from my stash.

Visit the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for all the details and check out the awesome artwork the rest of the DT has created!
