Drunken Stampers Challenge #156-Person: Marilyn Monroe or Anything Glamorous or Glam!

 Hello All!

I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday!  My family Christmas celebration is actually today.  We waited so my nephew and his family were able to join us!  I can't wait to see them!

Make sure to join in the fun with Drunken Stampers Challenge #156--Person: Marilyn Monroe or Anything Glamorous or Glam!  Most of the design team focused on Marilyn, but I went with glamorous.  Make sure to check the other design team members' blogs!

Both stamps are from Crackerbox Palace Rubber Stamps.  Their site is being updated, so check back later.  I paper pieced the glamorous woman and the mirror.  The pearls are from Zva Creative and the purple papers are from Club Scrap.  My friend Vicky B. came up with the idea of using thin copper wire to make bobby pins!  Such a great idea...there are some in her hair, but they are hard to see due the pink curlers.

OMG, do you remember those curlers?  The soft sponge ones or the hard plastic...which did you choose?  For me, the sponge rollers were the only ones I wanted to sleep in...but my mom sometimes had other ideas.  The hard plastic weren't too bad if you used them when we needed the hair style right away.  Then you had to put on the hair bonnet, connect it, and reverse the vacuum to dry your hair.  I had my hair curled almost everyday...my mom felt I everyone needed curls.  :)  What was even worse were the home perms....yuck!  Check out that wonderful hair style on my first Communion photo...the glasses were pretty cool!  They were pink with glitter...could be in style now!  I was so glad when the Seventies came...straight hair, but then you had to iron it so it was perfectly straight!  It's amazing I still have hair.
Make sure to create something using Challenge #156-Person: Marilyn Monroe or Anything Glamorous or Glam!  You could become our next Life of the Party!

You have until Jan 3rd at 11:59pm PST to post your link.  I'd love to see what you can do with this challenge!

Laura's blog, you're in the right place.

Every year I make some homemade gift for all my family members.  This year it is going to be Cappuccino mixI am trying to perfect a Gingerbread Cookie Cappuccino to go along with these cute cans I picked up on clearance at Joann's a year or two ago.  They were so inexpensive I just had to get them!  The Gingerbread Cookie Cappuccino recipe is almost there so if you're interested in the recipe when I am finished, please leave me your e-mail below.

This is the finished tin on which I used Christmas Red, Yellow, Champagne, True Blue, Frosted Lace, and Fired Brick Red Distress Stickles.

These photos are of the original tin with no Stickles. Cute, but not very sparkly!

Party in Paris-Drunken Stampers Challenge 154-Place: Paris or Romance

Welcome Everyone!

Drunken Stampers are traveling to Paris this week!  Plenty of wine and chances for romance...well at least the wine.  :)   Challenge 154 is Place: Paris or Something Romantic!

The Eiffel tower was made using a Club Scrap stencil.  The Eiffel Tower brad is from Spare Parts and the ticket stamp is from InvokeArts.  The crystal bling is from Zva Creative, after all it is Paris.  All the Club Scrap cardstock was edged with Peeled Paint Distress Ink and the fibers are from my stash.

Have a little lot of wine, make a project and visit Drunken Stampers!  Make sure to link up your artwork at Drunken Stampers by Friday, December 20th at 11:59pm PST to have the chance to be The Life of the Party!
